The A-Team (2010)

A group of Iraq War veterans looks to clear their name with the U.S. military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime for which they were framed.

- mindless action and 2 hours of non-stop fun
- lives up to the 80's series and kinda revives it in a new modern version
- all actors play their roles of our old hereos really well and convincingly, I think most fans of the old series will be satisfied :)

- extremely unrealistic (but on the other hand was the series realistic that time?)
- the story gets a bit confusing at times and you don't know what's going on at a few points
- too fast camera & cutting in some action scenes for my taste
- bad CGI used in some scenes (tank scene, helicopter scene etc.)

All in all a really great revival in my opinion. Maybe this movie will also get some young kids watching the old series, who knows. I can recommend it to everyone who loves to see good mindless action! Someone who is focused on realism, better stay away from it! ;)

My rating:

7/10 (for the sheer entertainmant factor & because it's a nice tribute to old times)

  1. I liked this movie. Some critics don't like it but I think it is important to understand the difficulties in adapting the 30 year old tv show to modern times...

  2. i dont like it because there wasnt mr t on the movie

  3. Old shows made into an action movie, but this one seems alright

  4. I never actually saw the original A-team, but I've heard about it enough to get interested. Should I watch the movie before I try to look back at the show?

  5. @Chris

no, it's not really necessary to see the original series first to enjoy the movie...however some jokes you will only get when you know all the characters a bit. ;)

  6. I totally agree on everything. Nonstop Action! Hell yeah!
